Often the term used to describe the American Native tribal people is “the forgotten people.” Many times this title has been encouraged because of the extreme geographic remoteness. Although the Native Reservations of the lower 48 states may be off the beaten path, these tribes are easily accessible compared to the Native tribes of bush Alaska. Forgotten? Not by God! But the reality is reaching the indigenous people of this state is very difficult and very expensive!
With hopelessness, depression and suicide at an all time high, we have set our sights and focus to reach the hurting of Alaska. We recognize to charter a boat or plane has great cost, yet we believe that the indigenous people of the north are worth the investment of time, resources and finances.
Yukon River:
The Yukon River is a highly desired experience for those seeking adventure. From floating trips, hunting and photography, tourists come from all over the world to see such a site. Our purpose on this great river is of a higher calling as we use the river to reach remote Athabascan Indian Villages. Living on the river and traveling on boats for weeks at a time is not describable in words, one must have a personal experience to understand.
